Research:

Using socio-ecological model, Dr. Onditi’s research revolves around:

  • School climate, bullying/cyberbullying, and violence against children
  • Children and adolescents development in the digital age
  • Child-parent-teacher and peer relationships
  • Parenting in the digital age and coping strategies

Projects:

  • Principal Investigator (2020 to date). Tanzania Youths in the Digital Age: The Bitter Sweet. YouthTech-Project. University of Dar es Salaam Research and Innovation GrantAward 2nd Round. Grant Total: Tzs. 15,000,000.
  • Principal Investigator (2018 to date). Cyberbullying, School bullying and Psychosocial Impacts on Students’ well-being and School Involvement. Funded by the New York University. Grant Total: $ 20,000.
  • Co-Principal Investigator (2018 to 2019). Internet Behaviours and Online Risks Among Tanzanian Adolescents. Funded by the University of British Columbia: Grant Total: $ 5,000.
